Our first priority at DIYRE is to see your DIY project succeed. That's why try to make the best step-by-step guides and offer email support. However, sometimes even the best of us get stuck. That's where our Last Ditch Repair Service comes in.

We will fix up your kit and send it back to you in working order within 3 weeks. Place your order for a repair by buying this item, then we will respond with instructions for shipping your kit back to us.

During checkout please note:

  1. Which kit you are returning for repair
  2. What issues you are having with it

Supported Kits Only

We can only repair kits that we at DIYRE designed and support. Look for the the "Supported" check box on the product page.

Repairs Only

We offer repairs as zero-profit service to our customers because we want you to be happy with your DIYRE product. So we ask that you only use this service after you've built the kit completely and have given troubleshooting your best shot. That is, this is not an assembly service. We also cannot service kits built and sold by a 3rd party, either through an authorized retailer or on Reverb, eBay, etc.

The repair fee is per kit to be repaired. So if you are sending back more than one kit, make sure to buy the correct number of repairs. For example, if you are sending back a CP5 Mic Preamp and CTX Colour module, buy the CP5 repair  and one Colour Module repair. Shipping will be calculated at checkout based on the total weight of items to be repaired.

International Service

We encourage international customers to use one of our local repair partners instead of returning the kit to us. These repair partners do not offer the same $50 pricing, but using a local repair person you will save significantly on shipping and customs. Fast & Easy Turnaround -- Well Worth It -- One Suggestion

As per usual, Peterson and co. helped me out on a recent kit build. I messed a few things up and could not calibrate my 73P 500 kit properly. The videos on the site were super helpful, but this is generally where I struggle with other builds; the calibration/measurement aspect of things.

When I realized they offered this service, it felt like a no-brainer. Easy to ship off and got it back in no time. The only suggestion I would make is to leave a note or send a video on what was actually fixed/repaired. I've built over 30 DIY kits and have had a pretty high success rate, overall. When I've run into issues, I've used Trace Audio, great guys btw, and a local guy in Chicago to help resolve issues. I realize this is essentially a "no cost" solution/loss leader, but at the end of the day, I want to know what I did wrong, so I can learn from that. That's just me, though.

Anyway, great kits, I love what you do for the DIY community and keep making kick ass gear!

DIYRE saved the day

Learn from my mistake which Peterson and co just fixed… if you are using a multimeter to identify your resistors… always double check when you have the same number of resistance but different orders of magnitude in the kit. Specific situation from my OLA5 build, I swapped a 100R and a 100K R because I wasn’t looking closely enough at the multimeter… saw the 100 and started soldering.
