Hey this is awesome! Im about to start with mine but it looks a bit intimidating!
Got a question. Are all bypass caps 0.1uF? And those named “CPSxx” on the board? I bet this is a stupid question.
Thanks!
Peterson Goodwyn on November 12, 2014 17:59
Hey Tom, glad to hear someone else is giving it a go! AFAIK, yes, all of the bypass caps are 0.1uF, including those marked “CPSxx.”

Great! Thanks.
Yes, there aren’t many people giving it a go it seems.
BTW, what are the length of those 2 meter board standoffs?

Any news on the calibration instructions?
Almost finished building two.

Hi Will, I’ll be testing mine this weekend and will post the process here. Sorry for the long wait, life gets in the way!

This is kind of stupid question but what power transformer should I get for this build? Thanks!
Peterson Goodwyn on November 12, 2014 17:59
Hey Tom, do you have a 500-series or 51x Alliance rack?
Tom on November 12, 2014 17:59
Nope. Going to rack it up. I know 500 series PSU outputs ±16v, but on some parts of the schematic it shows ±18v. That is the reason Im asking. BTW, do you know if I can power a pair with a 15VA transformer? Thanks!
Peterson Goodwyn on November 12, 2014 17:59
You want +/-16v. 15VA will give a little less than 1 amp at 16v. Don’t take my word for it, but you could probably power about 10 of these guys with that.
Tom on November 12, 2014 17:59
Nice. Thanks!

Interested in putting a pair of these together – how did you get on with testing yours in the end? Any likelihood you’ll offer a component kit for these? Or any chance you have a mouser cart link?
Thanks!
Peterson Goodwyn on November 12, 2014 17:59
Hi Chris, I just did simple voltage tests before plugging in the ICs and it powered up fine. A full kit probably wouldn’t be cost efficient for anyone, but I’ll see if Igor has a Mouser cart.
